We are honored to announce that our Founders, Rick Allen and Joe Brayton, are officially transitioning to Chairman of the Board and Board of Directors, respectively. The Paragon story started over 20 years ago. Rick and Joe had a vision for an infusion services company that was people-centered, and they were supported by friends and family that believed in their dream and who would go on to become board members, investors, and employees at the time.
Since day one, Joe and Rick have set the tone for the culture of Paragon, and they will continue to lead from the board while transitioning out of their current day-to-day roles. In partnership with our Executive Leadership Team, Rick and Joe are entrusting the position of Chief Executive Officer to our current Chief Operating Officer, Anthony Mollica, as we all continue to focus on our patients, people, and company growth.
Rick shares, “The board and I have been working on a leadership transition plan that allows me to transition from full-time duties and remain involved in strategy and growth planning from my position on the board. I’d also like to thank Joe Brayton for his partnership and tireless efforts in helping grow Paragon with me over the last twenty years. This is an exciting time for Paragon, and I look forward to working with Anthony and our exceptional team to continue to provide high-quality patient care and pursue transformational growth initiatives.”
Anthony brings with him nearly 30 years of professional experience in the healthcare industry. Before Paragon Healthcare, he served as President of Amedisys Hospice Care. Before Amedisys, Anthony served as President of Healthcare Services for Brookdale Senior Living and executive pharmacy roles at Omnicare, Giant Eagle, and Rite Aid. As the torch is passed to Anthony, we invite you to join us in celebrating Paragon’s legacy, where we have come from, and where we are headed in this exciting new chapter at Paragon Healthcare.
Anthony states, “I am humbled to lead this well-respected company that is fully committed to its mission of providing the highest quality of patient care in low-cost settings. I am excited to continue the rapid growth trajectory by continually supporting our ability to serve patients through investments in our great team, operations, quality, and service. I look forward to working with Rick, Joe, the board and our wonderful employees to build on the strong foundation formed by Rick, Joe and our team.”
Please join us in congratulating Anthony as we enter into this next phase of Paragon growth and help us keep our dream and mission strong.

At the very heart of what we do at Paragon are our incredible team of infusion nurses. We are honored to celebrate them this year for National IV Nurses Day.
