How Insite Therapy Centers Aligns With Value-Base Healthcare

April 21, 2021 | Insite Therapy Centers
With Insite Therapy Centers, physicians have the opportunity to continue care and oversight for patients needing infusions. In the past, a physician would refer a patient to receive their treatment elsewhere, while still being responsible for their care. Now, physicians can keep patients in their care from start to finish ensuring a streamlined plan of care for the individual and full patient accountability for the physician.

Value-based healthcare is a delivery model in which providers, including physicians, are paid based on patient health outcomes. Under value-based care agreements, providers are rewarded for helping patients improve their overall health outcomes in an evidence-based way. Decreasing costly re-hospitalizations and emergency room visits related to infections is a plus to decreasing the cost of our country’s gross domestic product in healthcare expenditure.

Today’s healthcare market requires transparency and trust with the patients, families, and caregivers. Patient experience in healthcare is everything. When Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), doctors, hospitals, and other healthcare providers partner together to care for patients, they reduce the cost of care and deliver better overall service.

Value-based care empowers physicians to improve patient care. Insite Therapy Centers is looking for independent physicians practicing in internal medicine, infectious diseases, gastroenterology, and rheumatology who are ready to close the gap of care for their patients. This type of partnership is designed to benefit physicians and their patients directly. As always, healthcare is a rapidly changing industry, and it’s time to join the movement towards a streamlined patient experience.

One type of successful value-based care model is known as “Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH).” It is not a home at all, though. In fact, it is a coordinated approach to patient care that is led by the patient’s primary care physician. The focus of this model is to share electronic medical records (EMRs) amongst the clinical care team giving everyone on the team real-time updates on their patient(s). This helps to minimize or eliminate duplicate testing and can help to expedite necessary treatment when the specialist on the team recognize triggers (i.e., elevation in certain lab results applicable to their specialty, etc.).

Getting into a value-based care mindset and connecting to primary care providers in the community is the first step that physicians can adopt this model. Healthcare providers have a special opportunity to make a difference in the lives of their patients. Are you ready to get started?
