If you or a loved one have been diagnosed with a rare chronic disease, you may already be familiar with Infusion Centers. Infusion Centers (IVCs for short), offer specialty medications administered through an IV to patients in need in a controlled environment outside of the hospital setting. Our current COVID-19 world poses some new challenges to healthcare – but we are closely monitoring CDC guidelines daily and have implemented preventative measures in order to remain open and fully operational while keeping our employees and patient’s health top of mind.
"As our country faces the Coronavirus situation, we value the safety of our employees and most importantly, our patients. We are currently evaluating our emergency preparedness processes and procedures to ensure our patients have the best care possible. Our pharmacies and infusion centers are open and available to service our patients and community. Your safety and care is our primary objective at this time. Please feel assured that we are here for you, that we will continue to adhere to CDC guidelines and recommendations, and that we will be working diligently to keep all of our patients safe, secure, and ensure that their needs are met. Paragon will continue to work diligently to provide appropriate therapies to our patients, at a location that works best for them, without compromising their care or safety."

We want to ensure that all of our patients are able to continue receiving the medication they need, when they need it. For the safety of our patients and staff we have updated our policies and are adhering to the following screening symptoms: fever, shortness of breath, or a cough. Patients with these symptoms are asked to remain in their vehicle and call our office directly for further screening.
Patients have been asked to delay treatment and self-quarantine for 14 days if they have tested positive for COVID-19, recently traveled out of the country, or been exposed to someone who has tested positive for the virus. This same procedure has been implemented with our staff members as well.
Inside our Infusion Centers, patients will be initially screened and are required to thoroughly wash their hands before starting treatment. We also are encouraging patients to bring their own masks, gloves, and snacks if needed.
We have limited each one of our centers to have a maximum of 10 people in open areas and will seat patients 6 feet apart from one another for the duration of their treatment. Our Infusion Centers are already open 365 days a year (including weekends and holidays) but are offering extended hours to ensure all patients can still receive their treatment while we are limiting the capacity of our locations. Generally, patients are allowed to have visitors while they receive their treatment, but we have currently stopped the allowance of outside visitors for the time being.
